NAIT Student Well-being and Community, with the support of Alberta Blue Cross, is proud to offer showings of the hit play that takes a candid look at one woman’s journey with mental illness.
Using Theatre to Address Mental Illness Stigma:
That’s Just Crazy Talk was the product of a collaborative research project that involved creation and testing of the play as a method of expanding understanding of Bipolar Disorder, and as a specific intervention to modify stigma.
That’s Just Crazy Talk looks at both the light and dark side of living with bipolar disorder, anxiety and psychosis. It describes one woman’s journey coming to terms with mental illness within herself and in her family. It also portrays the love and resilience it takes to stay together as a family in the midst of illness and the beauty that can result when we face our demons.
