Get Involved at NAIT by Grabbing a Seat on the Campus Activities Board In 2017-2018Apply Before Friday, February 10th, 2017

The NAIT Students’ Association is looking for ten (10) enthusiastic, creative and social students to participate on the Campus Activities Board (CAB) next year!

As a CAB Member, you will have four main responsibilities:

1. Brainstorming possible campus events – You would be an integral part of developing a vibrant, diverse and entertaining campus life experience for NAIT students next year. NAITSA needs your innovation and creativity to plan promotions!

2. Engagement – This could be the best part of the job – you get to have a hand promoting and executing the very events you helped plan! With flexible hours to work around your class and life responsibilities, work for NAITSA to do such things as event planning, promotion, clubs suport, volunteer coordination, and event execution – all playing to your interests and strengths! Just a few hours every month (and a bit less during mid-terms and finals.)

3. Board Meetings – Serious stuff, right? You are a “board member” after all, so you will sit down for a meeting (about once a month) to do things like review and endorse event and marketing plans, budgets, etc. NAITSA likes short efficient meetings so they won’t take too long. It’s an important part of the CAB role and you will gain some experience participating in formal meetings (another good addition to the resume.) We will also do some brainstorming meetings throughout the year, but they’re less formal. Oh, and the board meetings happen semi-monthly at the NAITSA office.

4. Subcommittee work – This is where you will be able to develop a wide variety workplace skills including contributing your ideas to event plans, marketing plans, scheduling, promotion planning, student engagement and research.

Your ‘term’ would be March 1st, 2017 to April 30, 2018, and it’s a paid position at $18/hour.
