This short-term, interactive, and fun opportunity sees a student proudly represent the NAIT community in the Edmonton Pride Parade as a volunteer.

NAIT provides one Parade Volunteer to the Edmonton Pride Festival Society every year to facilitate different aspects of the Edmonton Pride Parade, this year taking place on Saturday June 8th. Your final role will be determined by the Edmonton Pride Festival Society but roles historically have included safety marshal, merchandise and donation sales, and greeter and directions. You will be oriented and fed by the Edmonton Pride Festival and be given a completion letter you can use for volunteer hours by NAIT Safe Spaces. This role is incredibly important to the relationship between NAIT and Edmonton Pride, we ask that you volunteer only if you can 100% commit to the following tasks.

The selected student must be reliable and be able to complete the following three tasks: (1) Complete an Edmonton Pride volunteer application form, which will be sent to the selected student by NAIT Safe Spaces, (2) attend a mandatory Volunteer Orientation on Thursday May 23rd at 7PM-8:30PM, just off Whyte ave, and (3) volunteer on behalf of NAIT on Saturday June 8 for a time slot you indicate on the volunteer application form.

Questions can be directed to NAIT’s Safe Spaces coordinator, Tim Ira at timi@nait.ca
