Vladyslav Bondarchuk

Candidate for VP External

Hello Ooks,

NAIT students are balancing heavy course loads, work, family responsibilities, and rising living costs. When decisions feel unclear, support is hard to find, or students are left guessing, it affects academic success and mental well-being. I’m running for Vice President External because student concerns must lead to clear action, not just acknowledgement.

My name is Vladyslav Bondarchuk. I’m a current NAIT student with a 3.5 GPA and a serving NAITSA Senator. Through student governance and campus involvement, I’ve learned how NAITSA advocacy works behind the scenes—and how important it is to translate that work into results students can actually feel and understand.

The VP External represents students to NAIT leadership and to municipal, provincial, and federal partners. If elected, I will focus on the issues students raise most often and communicate progress in plain language so students always know what is happening, what their options are, and where to go for help.

First, affordability and access to financial support. Too many students miss scholarships, bursaries, and awards because information feels scattered or confusing. I will advocate for clearer student-friendly guidance, consistent promotion through the channels students use, and better visibility of deadlines and eligibility—so more students can access the support that already exists.

Second, transparency when major decisions impact students. Program changes and reviews affect plans, finances, and confidence. I will push for clear timelines, plain-language updates, and strong student input when decisions impact programs, learning delivery, or fees.

Third, practical everyday logistics that affect student life. Transportation is a key example. With U-Pass expanding into Spring terms starting May 2026, students need clear eligibility rules, deadlines, and simple steps to resolve issues quickly. I will prioritize clarity and coordination so students aren’t left guessing.

Fourth, fair and workable online assessment practices. Students have raised concerns about online proctoring and technical barriers during exams. I will bring student feedback forward through the proper channels and advocate for balanced solutions that protect academic integrity without adding unnecessary stress.

I will be accessible, responsive, and consistent with updates throughout the year. If you want a VP External who is prepared, approachable, and focused on measurable progress, I would be honoured to earn your vote.

Vote Vladyslav Bondarchuk for Vice President External.
