Welcome to the New Student Experience!
Ready to make your time on campus unforgettable? The New Student Experience (NSE) is your ticket to exploring everything NAIT has to offer, at your own pace. Discover over 2,000 unique campus experiences and create a personalized extra-curricular journey just for you!
Complete the NSE path and score a limited-edition swag item. Plus, your name will be entered into our monthly draw for amazing prizes. The best part? Your name stays in the draw until you win or the winter semester ends!
Head over to ookslife.ca and navigate to your path page to see the prize list. Make sure to select “New Student Experience” from the drop-down menu. You may find that you are already on your way to finishing the path!

New Student Experience
What’s in it for you?
All students who complete the New Student Experience will receive:
- A limited-edition NAITSA swag item
- Digital badges to showcase on your Milestone ePortfolio
- Experiences will be included on your Ooks Life Involvement Record
- Entry into monthly draws to win some sweet prizes
Completion draw prizes!
Once you complete the New Student Experience, your name will be automatically entered into the monthly Completion Draw to win some great prizes.
- September 30 – VIP Nest night for any Thursday for up to six people + $150 Nest gift card
- October 31- Seat on the NAITSA Ski Trip
- November 30 – 5 free admissions for you and a friend to attend NAITSA’s How To series
- December 30 – VIP package to Splash & Bash
- January 30 – Seat on Last Class Bash
- February 28 – VIP experience at an Ooks Home Game
- March 30 – Ooks Life/NAIT pride swag bag
- April 30 – Year-end celebration dinner at Ernest’s for you and three friends with a $300 tab
How do you get in on the action?
- Sign up on Ookslife.ca.
- Click your initials or picture in the top right corner, and select “paths’ from the menu. Click around and explore the path.
- Participate and record your participation in the initiatives that speak to you most for each domain.
- Boom- you’re done and had an epic first year!
Additional notes
- There is no cost to join the program, to access the New Student Experience, simply log into Ookslife.ca, click your initials or picture in the top right corner and then select “paths” from the menu. If you are enrolled in other paths, select “New Student Experience” from the drop-down menu.
- Once you complete the First-Year Experience path, your name will be automatically entered into the monthly completion prize draws. If you do not win, your name will be included in all future draws, until the path closes in April. You can only be chosen as a winner once and your name will be removed from future draws.
