Welcome to the New Student Experience!
Ready to make your time on campus unforgettable? The New Student Experience (NSE) is your ticket to exploring everything NAIT has to offer, at your own pace. Discover over 2,000 unique campus experiences and create a personalized extra-curricular journey just for you!
Complete the NSE path and score a limited-edition swag item. Plus, your name will be entered into our monthly draw for amazing prizes. The best part? Your name stays in the draw until you win or the winter semester ends!
Head over to ookslife.ca and navigate to your path page to see the prize list. Make sure to select “New Student Experience” from the drop-down menu. You may find that you are already on your way to finishing the path!

What’s in it for you?
All students who complete the New Student Experience will receive:
- A limited-edition NAITSA swag item
- Digital badges to showcase on your Milestone ePortfolio
- Experiences will be included on your Ooks Life Involvement Record
- Entry into monthly draws to win some sweet prizes
Completion draw prizes!
Once you complete the New Student Experience, your name will be automatically entered into the monthly Completion Draw to win some great prizes.
- September 30- 5 free admissions for you and a friend to attend NAITSA’s How To/DIY series
- October 31- Your choice of a VIP package. Choose either the Nest night for any Thursday for up to six people + $150 Nest gift card, or the VIP experience for an Ooks Athletics Home Game.
- November 30 – Seat on the Campus Mountain Trip
- December 30- VIP package to Splash & Bash
- January 30 – Seat on Last Class Bash — Mexico Edition
- February 28- Choice of either VIP experience at NAITSA’s Drag Show or Esports prize pack including entry to the March esports tournament.
- March 30- Year-end celebration dinner at Ernest’s for you and three friends with a $300 tab
- April 30 – Ooks Life/NAIT Spirit swag bag

- Click your initials or picture in the top right corner, and select “paths’ from the menu. Click around and explore the path.
- Participate and record your participation in the initiatives that speak to you most for each domain.
- Boom- you’re done and had an epic first year!
