NAITSA Announces Official Results of 2025 Executive Council Election and U-Pass Referendum

(Friday February 14th) Today at 4:00 pm, the results of the 2025 NAITSA Executive Council election and U-Pass referendum became official following the 24-hour appeal period. With a historic voter turnout of 41.3% (6,974 ballots cast), NAIT students have spoken clearly about their future.

U-Pass Referendum Result

YES – 89.7% in favour

Outcome: The U-Pass program will be extended for three more years (through August 2028), maintaining unlimited access to regular public transit. Fee increases will be limited to $2.50 per term annually, starting in Sept 2026. This agreement protects a vital service for students and ensures affordable, predictable transit costs.
