My name is Ashendra Wijesinghe- though you can call me Ash. I’m a first year construction engineering student & a candidate for the 2025/2026 NAITSA Senate for zone four. Outside academics I am a car guy and a photographer. If you see me in the CAT building, come say hi!

The senate plays a vital role in overseeing the executive council, ensuring their decisions reflect the best interests of YOU.

If elected, I will dedicate myself to,

I. Enhancing the student experience through improved events, meet & greets, clubs & student support.

II. Ensuring the executive council meets the needs of student body so YOUR time at NAIT is unique.

III. Prioritizing students’ best interests at bylaw changes and governing decisions

IV. Managing the annual budget responsibly, so YOUR money is not wasted

With over 150 hours of volunteer experience in various organizations, I understand the importance of service, teamwork and accountability. I am approachable, adaptable, trustworthy and never hesitate to speak out against injustice or unfairness.
