Claudia Ngan Tafam

Zone 1

Hello! My name is Claudia Ngan Tafam, and I’m running for the NAITSA Senate. I’m a first-year student in the Power Engineering Technology program, and I’m excited for the opportunity to contribute to NAITSA’s governance.

As a Senator, I would be part of the governing body responsible for matters including NAITSA’s bylaws, the approval of annual operating and capital budgets, and other areas of governance outside the scope of the Executive Council.

I decided to run because I believe students should have their concerns considered when decisions are made within NAITSA. While Senators do not directly represent students, we have an important role as trustees in governance and communication. I want to approach that responsibility thoughtfully, stay informed about matters affecting the student community, and help ensure that relevant concerns are brought forward and considered within the appropriate areas of NAITSA’s governance.

I would be honoured to serve as a Senator and contribute to NAITSA beyond the classroom.
