Join us to help cut down on invasive plants on the creekbed at Coates Conservation Land! Invasive plants spread using many methods, but one route that is always reliable is spreading by water. Willow Creek runs through Coates Conservation Land, and with the swells in water volume throughout the year, a variety of invasive plants pop up along the creekbed.
With your help, we can reduce the number of seeds that make their way downstream. The more plants we remove, the less they’ll have the chance to spread at Coates, or anywhere else the creek flows.
Accessibility:
- This event includes walking a steep trail with large stairs.
- Approximately 3 km total of walking.
- We will be removing plants using hand tools and hand pulling, and bringing any flowering plants back with us in garbage bags.
